It's November, so you know what that means! It's NaNoWriMo time!
This is the first year that I've done the contest, and even though I planned for two weeks prior to the start of the month, I am feeling woefully unprepared. I wanted to have done an outline. I wanted to have characters and settings fully fleshed out.
"Nope," Life said, "you're not gonna get the time for that."
You have to keep laughing (and writing) or you'll start crying, right?
I'm writing science fiction, and trying to make it fairly realistic science-wise. I have apparently not done nearly enough research! I'm making time to do research after I finish my writing target point each day.
Yesterday it took me 3 hours to write 1952 words. Today it took me 2 hours to write 1646 words. Maybe it's getting easier? One can only hope.
The goal is 50,000 words by the end of the month. Which is about half of a novel.
